OVIN help
User manual
Understand your Passport, what each page means, and what happens when you use its controls.
Human Passports are publicly live. Other classes are internal preview. This guide does not change eligibility, permissions or the current legal policies.
OVIN and the OWOS systems
OVIN keeps your OWOS identity and consent records in one place. Other OWOS services handle their own work.
One identity, different services
Your Human Passport identifies you across OWOS. A PPID is its readable identifier; passport_id is the permanent reference used by connected services. Neither is a new identity for each app. Keep your PPID private and use your public Support ID when asking for help.
What belongs here
OVIN manages Passport identity, sign-in, app links, consent and identity history. It is not a messaging inbox, wallet, marketplace, calendar or business operations tool. Connecting to a service does not move its entire records into OVIN.
Business, Structure and Location
A Business Passport identifies a business; a Structure Passport identifies fixed property. A Location is a business’s operational place, not another Passport class. A Structure can be linked to a Location without merging the two. OVAK decides Location management permissions; OVIN records the identity and lifecycle. Apps such as Item DNA and Calendar receive Location references and staff assignments only as short-lived signed facts; they do not change OVIN records.
Available versus preview
Human is the publicly live Passport class. Business, Charity, Structure, Asset, Vehicle and Event remain in internal preview. A visible page or test record does not mean public issuance is open. Coming Soon apps are not available connections.
